T-PAIN TAKES OVER ADULTSWIM
Freaknik: The Musical

Mr. Autotune himself T-Pain took over the AdultSwim last night as he rebirthed Atlanta's beloved black Spring Break-'Freaknik' with with his new hour-long cartoon "Freaknik: The Musical".
The show aired last night at 11:30 during the Oscars ceremony.
Meet The Cast:
Here's what T-Pain had to say about his new project in an recent interview:
What made you want to revisit Freaknik as a cartoon?
When [Freaknik] disappeared, it disappeared. Ain't nothing been [said] about it [anymore]. Except for the stories people got from it and how lame parties are now. The reason why I did a cartoon was because it would have been impossible to remake that in real life. It was something we wanted to touch on.
Did you approach Adult Swim after you came up with the idea?
We've been working on a bunch of stuff [with Adult Swim]. I've been doing a bunch of voiceovers. I did the Live Action Aqua Teen Hunger Force. We said that we needed to do an actual cartoon.
The list of people you have involved is impressive--Lil' Wayne, Andy Samberg, George Clinton. How long did it take to round up all these people?
Two years.
Wow, that's a long time. Were the music people excited to be involved with this remembrance to Freaknik?
Yeah everyone was excited to do something. Once it turned from 11-minutes to an hour-long movie, we had to go back to all those people and say, ‘We have to change every line you've done already, and then do way more than you did.' Then it started getting annoying to everybody. It started getting harder and harder to do the extra lines, rewriting the script. But we got it done.
How did the story change from an 11-minute piece to an hour?
We looked at it, and we were like, ‘Man, this is too short.' I wanted to keep going. We were like, ‘We should just rewrite this thing.' Then Mike Lazzo, president of Adult Swim, was like, ‘Make it an hour.' My first real cartoon is an hour long? It takes a long time for these series to turn into an hour. Mine isn't even a series and it's already an hour.
It took two years. Who is the person you wanted the most for this project? And what was your reaction to getting them?
The hardest person and the person I wanted the most was Wayne. Oh God that was so hard to do because he got so much going on in his life. Once I got it that was like an achievement. It was like, ‘Alright. Let's put the thing out now.' That's my dog, and he definitely did it for me.

THE OSCARS: KANYE MOMENT
Last night we all tuned in to the 82 annual Academy awards... Everything seemed to be going smooth until the nominee's for "Best Documentary Short" were announced. The award went to Roger Ross Williams for the film "Music by Prudence".
Not to long after Williams began his acceptance speech did a woman by the name of Elinor Burkett (who was removed from the film director credits) uninvitedly jumped on stage -- KANYE STYLE, and gave a speech of her own.
Check out this BS:
WTF right??? well here's the scoop on what really happened as Kerry Lauerman of Salon spoke to the two filmmakers whose personal fight became one of the ceremony's weirdest moments.
People are already saying you "pulled a Kanye." What happened?
BURKETT: What happened was the director and I had a bad difference over the direction of the film that resulted in a lawsuit that has settled amicably out of court. But there have been all these events around the Oscars, and I wasn't invited to any of them. And he's not speaking to me. So we weren't even able to discuss ahead of the time who would be the one person allowed to speak if we won. And then, as I'm sure you saw, when we won, he raced up there to accept the award. And his mother took her cane and blocked me. So I couldn't get up there very fast.
Can you explain the reason behind the conflict?
BURKETT: The movie was supposed to be about the entire band, Liyana. And the [band members] were very clear they did not want to participate if it ended up being just about one person. The director and HBO decided to focus solely on Prudence . . .
And that led to the rift. But didn't you see him at other events to discuss what would happen if you won?
BURKETT: He won't talk to me! This whole week, there have been events thrown by the International Documentary Association, and he hasn't passed any of the invitations on to me.
The movie was my idea. I live in Zimbabwe. Roger had never even heard of Zimbabwe before I told him about this. And you know, I felt my role in this has been denigrated again and again, and it wasn't going to happen this time.
How do you feel about the final product?
BURKETT: The final product, it's not that it's bad. It's not what I envisioned when I came up with this project. And it's not what we promised the boys in the band. It's just not what we wanted it to be.
About 15 minutes later, Salon reached director-producer Roger Ross Williams by cell phone as he celebrated backstage with family and friends. We asked for his side of the story.
How did that happen?
WILLIAMS: Only one person is allowed to accept the award. I was the director, and she was removed from the project nearly a year ago, but she was able to still qualify as a producer on the project, and be an official nominee. But she was very angry -- she actually removed herself from the project – because she wanted more creative control.
But couldn't you decide ahead of time who would speak?
WILLIAMS: That was handled by the publicist for the academy. I don't know what they told her. The academy is very clear that only one person can speak. I own the film. She has no claim whatsoever. She has nothing to do with the movie. She just ambushed me. I was sort of in shock.
You seemed to run up there pretty fast. Didn't you see her coming up the aisle? What did you think was going to happen when she got there?
WILLIAMS: I just expected her to stand there. I had a speech prepared.
She claims she found the movie's story, that she brought it to you.
WILLIAMS: No, not at all. The truth is that she saw the band perform [in Zimbabwe], and told me about that, and then I opened up a dialogue with the [King George VI School & Centre for Children with Physical Disabilities] school and went on my own – which you would've heard about in my speech -- and spent $6,000 going to Africa shooting myself. And when people expressed interest in the film, I asked her to come on board. And then I regretted that decision. Then she sued.
It was quite a tussle. Does this diminish the Oscar at all?
WILLIAMS: Absolutely not. It's such a career achievement, to win an Academy Award. This is what the business is. There are times when there's disagreement and dispute and you always hope that people will rise up to the occasion. It doesn't diminish it. She disowns it and doesn't want any part of the film. I'm so proud of the movie .
OK, did your mother try and block her with her cane?
WILLIAMS: My mother got up to hug me. And my mother is 87 years old. She was excited.
What are people saying about it?
They're saying it looked like she pulled a Kanye.
WILLIAMS: She did! She pulled a Kanye. And it's a shame, because this is such positive, happy film.
More awkwardness (backstage):

Kimberley Wyatt and Ashley Roberts leaves Pussycat Dolls

After seven years of hit making and "doll dominating" The international pop group Pussycat Dolls is only left with two members standing.
Just before reaching success the THEN 10 girl crew simmered down to a sexy six, until Carmit Bachar quit the group in 2008 leaving them with just five members. They made hits like "Don't Cha" and "When I Grow Up" which climbed up the charts, but no one knew about the battling struggles to keep the group together despite seeing many members venture off onto solo jobs, especially the groups lead singer Nicole Scherzinger who had much success without the little "pussies", but still remained in the group.
Just months ago member Jessica Sutta walked away from the group and now members Kimberley Wyatt and Ashley Roberts are claiming to be done with the group as well... Now leaving Melody Thornton and lead singer Nicole Scherzinger the only members remaining.
Kimberly Wyatt tell Loaded Magazine: "Money and fame can't buy happiness... I love being a Doll, but as far as the variables off-stage are concerned - I just couldn't do it anymore". Meanwhile Roberts say's that she has "gotten the acting bug and am falling in love with it. I have a few projects in the works and when ready I will announce more details to all of you".
The future of the group is unknown but its sad to see another girl group follow the same unsuccessful steps as many others we've seen in the past... But I wish much success to all the girls and Nicole who will be on the upcoming 'Dancing With Stars' and Melody who's doing her thing as well!

A SEXY SERENA COVERS JET MAG

Tennis player Serena Williams is JET magazines new cover girl for next weeks Jet Mag issue.
Although some are critiquing her get-up in the cover, I see nothing wrong with the school girl/teacher look (which ever she was going for)... Lets just say I've seen worst pics of her... I think it's nice.
JET
When Serena Williams, the No. 1 tennis player in the world, steps off the court, the 28-year-old exchanges her tough exterior for a fun, lighthearted nature as the baby of the Williams family. Jet caught up with the woman that has a 125-mph serve to find out about a side of her she rarely reveals. “I’m really sensitive. I always want everyone to be happy. I’m a pleaser. I never want to make people sad or let them down, sometimes it’s even to my demise. I have learned to take care of me more, and I’m definitely learning to do better at that.”

TIM GUNN ON KARDASHIAN FAMILY FASHION
"I find it largely vulgar. I find that it has a cheapness and a tawdriness." - Gunn

"Project Runway" host Tim Gunn appeared on CNN's "The Joy Behar Show" and had a few words to say about Kim Kardashian --- well.... actually her family!
When asked about being a fan of the "look" of the Kardashian's Gunn responded -- "Oh, Joy. Who is? I mean, who is?".
Gunn went on to say "It may have some sexiness to it" but.... "I find it largely vulgar. I find that it has a cheapness and a tawdriness."
Besides discussing his distaste in the Kardashians fashion he went on to explain he doesn't approve of their lifestyle as well, "I'm not exactly a fan of how they navigate the world -- to be perfectly honest."
This isn't the first time the Project Runway host attacked the Kardashian Klan. Not sure what his beef is with them but the girls are obviously doing something right if he's speaking their name so often. I mean, they can be some-what annoying at times, but let them do them, no one else seems to care.... #JustSayin

"[The images are] me on a very upset day — I think I was in Canada, upset crying," she explained. "Just personal stuff. Photos in the studio. I think [one] was me having an allergic reaction, breaking out. I just think it was my personal stuff and for someone to do that is so, so wrong. So now I'm actually having it looked into by the FBI and it's gonna be a bigger situation than just leaked photos. Hopefully we can deal with the situation and put an end to it."
